Hi guys, Can i get more power out of my 91 7.3 by turning the injector pump up. if so how much more power can i get and where can i go to learn how to do it my self. Thanks for your comments.
Yes you can get more power. You also burn and waste more fuel. If you aren't very careful you will melt a piston from the extra heat generated. If you are serious about doing it take it to a reputable diesel injector shop and have them put it on the bench and adjust it. They can tell how much they have ajusted it and hopefully you won't have melted pistons. Also you need to install a pyrometer to monitor your exhaust temp.

Basically no, unless you are adding air also (with a turbo). Fuel without air just increases combustion temperatures, sometimes with disasterous results.
