OH MY GOD that thing is crazy i love it my truck feels like a nascar!!!:lol::jester::ford:

anyways when im really on it it feels like after i let off the gas to shift it keeps going for half a second what is that?

and i figure its alright to switch programs at a idle but what about when im driving and the rpms are up??? should i just engage the clutch first or is it ok to turn while im driving

Only change the chip settings at idle or off.

I can't speak for the TW chip, but I've got an older Hypertech in my '95 and it does the same rev-up thing when I shift. You'll get used to it.

OK now that you got the chip, you have to excersize that right foot so you can keep it off the pedal 97.5 % of the time :smokin: :
unless the need to put someone in their place comes into play :sneaky:

ok so at idle..? or not?


yea keeping my foot out of it is a little tough at the moment i will try that way in a couple of days once my adrenaline rush has past from getting this thing in the mail last night

econ-daily-heavy tow- extreme-smoke- hight idle


the daily halls butt.... well they all do but i like the daily (not as much smoke)

so im still not sure if i can switch this at an rpm

TW Chip and DP Tuner chip are "shift on the fly"
DP tuner has the DECEL mode and when you are switching into decel mode you are at high RPM with a trailer pushing you.

I have TW chip and DP tuner in another truck and change modes on the fly and unless Tony or DP Tuner says not to do that I understood that it is perfectly fine.
I am sure we will have a bunch more chime in hear and many more opinions.
Might here from DP TUNER member as well :icon_wink:

Yes I understand completely. I do believe that the chips are switch on the fly. I wouldn't want to do it under acceleration though, just at constant speed. Don't take my word for it though as I am still stuck with the Banks for now. A friend at work has a DP, I can ask about his on Monday.

When you get settled in with the chip I would love to hear your recommendations for mine.

I was told not to change on the fly so I've never tried it. Would be nice to know you can!

You can shift at higher RPMs, you just can't shift under load. i.e., if you're pulling up a hill with your foot in it, don't change the chip.

My buddy had a TS in his Powerstroke.. We allways just let off the gas and switched it then hammerd back down on it..

i didn't know if you had your chip shipped in the ups ground and if so how long it took mine status for mine has been in transit for like 4 days but wondering
