ive done it on my mustang, but would it be okay to unbolt the exhaust halfway through the truck right before the muffler, i dont plan on driving it around like this i just want to see what it sounds like for my personal benefit, my thoughts are that it would be fine to do

Would be an easier question to answer if we knew what year, make, model, turbo or not the truck is.

Doesn't really matter if it's turbo or NA, your good to go. Expect LOUD if it's not turbo'd.

That's what I was going to tell him, loud if no turbo.

Lots of people run their truck straight pipe. Juts get a muffler delete pipe.

Yes if no turbo LOUD is right

With a 3" exhaust and an 088 ATS turbo, is there any benefit to ditching the muffler? Not certain but I'd guess it's a big Walker truck muffler that came with the 088 kit.

Probably no more power that you would notice. Check your local laws as mufflers may be required.

That may be OK to cut it there, BUT your gonna have a lot of crummy soot under the truck in the back in a short time.. If you have your tire mounted under, YUCK.
