Can anyone tell me what the #13 under hood fuse is for? I have blown this fuse twice in 2 months. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

According to my owners manual, it's for the multifunction switch and headlamps, and is 30amp. Yours may be different as a 2001, so check your owners manual to be safe.

You need to check the wiring on your Multi Function Switch; it is shorting out on something. Just pull the covers and you should be able to find the short. You may have to pull the Switch out but from what I have read it's not hard at all. That will make it easier to find and fix the bare wire that you will most likely find. Then find what caused the problem and fix that too.

I can't help as far as the multi-function switch goes but I can give you some good advice; go back to the person you bought the truck off and slap them in the back of the head. I HATE IT WHEN USED VEHICLES HAVE HAD THE OWNERS MANUAL REMOVED!!! Anyway, good luck and look around ebay for another manual, FORD will require an arm if you want one from there.

I tried the search and found nothing. Maybe I am not doing this right. Kev you are right about slapping the previous owner for not leaving the manual in the truck. The bad thing is that the previous owner is my neice's husband and he said that he has the manual some where?!
Can you feel the love?

Here's a link to the owners manuals:

I don't think there's one there for 2001 models so use this one for 2000 models:
MY 2000 F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550 Owner Guide

The multifunction switch is the lever on the left of the steerinc column controlling the turn signals/high beams/windshield wipers.

Edited by klhansen to fix broken link.
