New to the 6.0 engine and have one of many questions. When you turn her off and exit the vehicle, you can hear something spinning under the hood for a few seconds. Is this the turbo, and if so, is it normal for it to keep spinning after you shut off the vehicle? I'm positive my 7.3 didn't to it. Also, towed my camper to the dealership today. I set the brake controller as described in the owners manual, but it still did not lock up the brakes even to the gain setting of 10. The controller works great but wondering if it shouldn't be locking up when you slide the leaver while on maximum gain. Thanks

Mine spins down for about 30 seconds if you listen close enough and has from day one. I think it's pretty normal /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Are you sure your shoes on your trailer are adjusted?
I do mine once or twice per year as a maintenance thing, that would also cause the condition you describe.

The brake controller is not putting out the required signal to lock the brakes on your trailer. At 15 mph or below the controller only puts out roughly 1-2 amps.....not enough for brake lockup. There is a fix for that.I think it is an SSM18537 and the part number is PN#5C3Z-2C006-AA.This new part will correct the gain problem.

If this info is not correct someone please chime in and get out the right info.
