Ok I have what appears to be a small? fuel leak somewhere on top of the engine? I recently had to replace the lift pump and in doing so I also installed new fuel lines, I have gone back in and double checked to make sure all nuts/bolts, etc are tight. There is fuel that seems to be pooling under the filter houseing but it is also wet back towards the pump, I have cleaned it with simple green and washed it off and then let it run some but can not find the source any ideas on where to look, thanks

Take a look at the fuel filter restriction sender\switch on the drivers side of the filter housing. I went thru the same thing after I changed my pump and lines. I replaced it with a 1\8 brass pipe plug as per the helpful members on this site and its been perfect, if its leaking you can install a new sender but in 150K my light has never come on. Good luck

First of all...are you sure it's fuel and not oil? Clean up the valley the best you can go for a short drive. Now give it the "greasy eye ball" inspection and see if you can spot where it is leaking. If not, tie a dry rag around the pump and go for another short drive. I know you said you replaced the pump but you have to start eliminating things. If the rag is dry and it is not the fuel pressure regulator than it has to be something with the fuel filter canister. I would remove it and inspect it really good. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Clean it up some more, used compressed air to blow all the crap out the hole in the back. I started mine up and got a flash lite and sat on the front of truck and kept searching. You'll evntually find a drip, drip, drip amongst all the wires and pipes. Tate
