I had a 2% on one of my UOA's. It turned out to be the fact that I had started the truck and moved it just prior to changing the oil. The engine was already at operating temp and only ran for under a minute while I moved it. I just wanted to get the truck closer to my garage. The 6.0 dumps a lot of fuel into the oil on start up.

Best thing to do is get it at operating temp, shut down and drain the oil right away.

Anything else I may need. Thanks!

I took the sample using a plastic tube down the dipstick tube while engine was running, never took one since, now the equipment is on the tug boat but I suppose i could take it through the fumoto valve?

Thanks for the reply!

Best to take the oil sample from the oil pan drain plug about 1/2 way through and as I said above with the engine at or close to operating temp.
