been searching but not finding what im needing. my truck road walks like crazy. 97 f250 4 door. straight front axel not a wishbone. all new tie rods and ends. bearrings are tight. fixed the steering box. what else is there? this thing pull side to side with any variation in the road. will bad tires cause this? i saw some better ends for tierods somewhere but cant seem to find them again or should i go to crossover steering or what? ive got the larger size moog tierod and ends. i jack the truck up and try to shake the tires up down side to side and they dont move. am i missing something ?thanks Jason

Does it have the track bar installed? If so, does it have the same angle to the ground as the drag link?

If you search around for "bump steer" or "death wobble" you'll find lots of interesting material on this subject.

i crossed the train track the other day and it felt like the front end was going to come out of it till i could get it completly stopped. scared the crap outta my wife. i do have the trak bar installed but havent checkd that i will go out and check it in a minute. i had dual steering stabilizers the center bracket mounted on the axel but would never stay in place. it would always slide to the poassenger side after a little while. so i took it off. it still walkd all over with them on there. im going out to check the trck bar right now.

pulled the track bar out and the bushings are dry as a cob. i can peel rubber off with my fingers. i went to my local bushing store and they said id have to get it from ford and then a specialized mechanic to press them out and the new ones in. so now the hunt for bushings begins. thanks for the input Jason

i just tightened up the bolt on top. the wheel would move alot untill i tightened it up and now i have very little play in the wheel. it turns out the track bar bushings are bad. so im trying that along with new leaf spring bushings also. good thing is i have a company truck and am very patient. so im not rushed to get it all fixed at one time. not i didnt alighn it due to the fact the tires ar wore out. im saving for some new ones then ill have it alighned the same time. 37x13.5x20 pitbull rockers. if i could get rid of the 20s and go down to 16 or 16.5s i could save on tire cost. your limited alot having 20s
