Anybody else heard of this before? Ford mechanic says it is electrolisys (sp?). The engine has 85K miles on it and is less than 2 years old. Ended up plugging it with a 3/8 plug! It was so soft you could push a bigger hole with your thumb. The head thickness at that point is 1/16 of an inch thick!!! Other places it is only 1/8 inch thick.

Thanks...I was pretty sure when the mechanic knew where it was leaking before I ever showed him, that it wasn't electrolysis and it wasn't the first one he'd seen. It is guys like him who have made me so un-trusting that I have to do everything myself...even if it takes me forever.

Anybody else have this problem yet? Today, I talked to the place where I bought the motor and they said I'm the 4th one they have heard about, and it's not just the V10's.

If you're curious, in other words, if you are still under warranty, try pushing on the front of the driver's side head, just under the thermostat housing. If your warranty is about to run out, you might want to tap on it LIGHTLY with something. Remember, it is very thin in that area.

My leak started out as a pin hole little pisser, but within another 150 miles it became a problem. Trying to use a plug, that pin hole became 3/8 in diameter. I'd post a pic but I don't know how.

I hope this helps somebody...that's what these forums are all about, right?

Thanks,
Chris
