voltage regulator test?

Does anyone know what to jump on are regulators to see if its bad? I can see a arrow on the regulator that says ground here to test but it looks like its pointing to a screw that holds the regulator on /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Thanks for the info i just tried that and the voltage stayed at 12.20 so i guess i need a alt. Thanks again
