I noticed my van is showing about 8 on the voltmeter but the battery light is not on and I get over 14 volts at the battery with a meter. Anyone know what to check,Thanx for any help.
If you really care about volts install a real voltmeter. The OEM volt meter is completely worthless. I've had it showing "ok" and only been charging at ~ 11 V. Only reason I figured it out was b/c the headlights were dim so I switched my Scangauge to show volts and was surprised. Come to find out the GPR had welded itself shut and the GPs were running 100% of the time. Had to disconnect the battery, the relay was melted by then...
Now my speedometer is stopping at 35,it works regular but doesnt go any higher than 35.I wonder of my whole cluster is junking out.I guess I need to go ahewad and put in a real voltmeter to,thanx for the help
