Was at walmart today and they had 2.5 gallons of rotella for 25.00. Seems cheap?

Maybe not. Last time that I bought it, Rotella was $8.99/gal. If that is Rotella synthetic, then that is a deal!

Our local SprawlMart has Rotella 15W-40 for $8.88/gal (easy to remember /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ). Which is much cheaper than standard Castrol GTX 15W-30 that I put in my gassers. Go figure. And I was surprised, it's not a sale price.

I am switching the ole ladies minivan over to the rotella diesel oil next change . No more diff, oils .... just gotta figure out how to mary the PSD oil filter to the 3.8 in the van. lol

Crap that freakin bastage holds 5qts. plus the filter. Don't know who makes the engine but it has been pretty trouble free.P.S. it is a chrysler grand voyager.

i buy delo 400 and its usually like 10 bucks a gallon then i buy 3 qaurts at like 2 dollars a quart. so close to 50, i stick with delo cause ive always run it. i heard u not supposed to change diff oil companys/ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

I'm going to run to TSC right now to pick up an oil filter (fram to be specific) ill jot down the prices of rotella and synthetic.

Alright just got back from TSC... 2.5 gallons of rotella t was $26.48, not a deal. I didn't buy it there (have some left over from last batch of oil changes) but the fram filter was $12.48 which I thought was a good deal.

I still go to WW for the filter (moto 1995)$9.99 and the Rotella-T, $8.88/gal...

The last time I compared prices on the 1 gallon & 2.5 gallon containers of Rotella 15w-40 at Tractor Supply & Walmart, it was cheaper to buy the oil in the 1 gallon containers.

[/ QUOTE ] wouldnt do that if i was you....i know a guy that did that....all was well for about 10,000....miles then he lost front and rear crank seals...and a few others due to swelling......there are some pretty harsh deturgents..in rotela..add 1 quart once a year with the regular oil to clean up the inside of the engine....my 2 cents

Yesterday I bought two cases of six 1 gallon jugs to a case Rotella 15w40 at Costco for $52.24 a case. $8.71 a gallon
