I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is a central repository or a means that dealerships can access service records or perhaps even just warranty service records.

I bought my truck pre-owned at 38,000 miles and there was a questionable repair done at a dealership that I highly suspect was done *inside* the 3 year/36K warranty and would have been done at a dealership.

I see that maintenance that I have had done are tied to my VIN and accessible through the My Ford website http://ford.com/en/vehicles/owners/myVehicle.htm

But it does not show any records tied to that VIN previous to my purchase.

What you are asking for is an OASIS check. It is the lifetime history of repairs made at Ford dealers anywhere in the US. Post the vin & ask one of the techs here or at www.flatratetech.com , and they should be able to get it for you.
