How much tension should the wastegate have the flapper vavle? Now i can pull it open very easily, this doesn't sound right to me? Any input? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Describe 'flapper valve'. The Wastegate is a small circular valve INSIDE the turbo, the EBPV is the large flapper valve at the exhaust where the downpipe bolts on.

The wastegate should be stiff to pull out. The EBPV will be easy to move without the rod connected.

...and? I just didn't want to miscommunicate on the terminology, seems a lot of folks mix up ebpv and wastegate, might be me though.

Just wanted to confirm what he was talking about.

And the EBPV is a butterfly valve.

Wastegate accuator, i gutted the ebpv, when i removed the turbo off of my truck the wastegate rod had very little tension on it, this didn't seem right to me? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You may want to consider replacing it with a Banks Big Head Actuator
