First off i dont know that much about turbos just the basics, i have heard our trucks do not have watsegates on the turbos

...if not have does that work without it?? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

A wastegate is a way to keep turbos from overboosting, or working out of their efficiency range. The exhaust housing on our turbos is large enough that we don't really need a wastegate because in stock form, our trucks don't make a whole lot of boost. The SD's have a smaller exhaust housing on their turbos and they need to dump excessive exhaust to keep from overboosting and hurting the turbo. I think the SD's use a .84 exhaust housing and WG while the OBS use 1.15 housings.
