Getting ready to replace all the Ford gold with Zerez ZXED1 (RED) on my born on date 5/2005 6.0. Already have a coolant filter @ 12k and only have 38K on the red beast. No issues with the truck just wanting to take care of her. My Auto Enginuity PC scan shows a 4-6 degree diff in ECT EOT @ highway speeds unloaded.

Question do I need a water pump lubricant additive?

Just do the flush with distilled water. I just switched over to the Zerex Red too. I have a 8° delta on average just running on the expressway loaded with nothing more than a few hundred pounds of groceries. LOL

Once I get my egr cooler problem verifiied by the dealer on monday, going to add rotella elc instead of the ford gold. Currently flushing out the system with restore and getting alot of sand particles.

Flushed with distilled water only. Will tow my 5er and will watch the temps close. Usually w/o a load the temps are very close. No sand in the rad, had some very fine debris in the degas bottle, so I removed the bottle and flushed it out with a garden hose. Replaced the thermostat , keep the old one for insurance.
