My water pump went out on my truck on Memorial Day. Can you put an International pump on here? If so what is the part number? The man at the parts counter said he had no way of cross referencing the parts, which we all know is bull, I buy all my parts from them, they're MUCH cheaper than buying Ford parts.

No it is not bull unless you get a magical list like a member here provided me there is no way for a Ford Guy to know the Navistar # and no way for a Navistar Guy to know the Ford #. There was a cross reference list up until 01 MY and Ford found out that Navistar was passing it out to their dealer body and put the kabosh on it. As for the water pump part # the 01-03 F650-750's use the same pump as the Navistars with the water filter boss as an integral part of the pump but the inlet is on the opposite side same as the Navistar pump. Which has been done on the OBS but I have yet to see anyone that has done it on a Superduty.
That part # is YC3Z8501CA.

I just put one on for a buddy and he bought one at Carquest for 222.00. Life time replacement. Ford wanted 245.00 and 1 year. The Carquest part number 4114 and had all the gaskets.

Yes you can put a IH pump on the P'stroke. Need to check the IH catalog for the 444E engine. I'd suggest doing the "IH conversion" that some of us have done. Get the IH pump with the integral spin on coolant filter.
Here is a thread link to get you started. Let me know if you have any questions.

Did mine a couple of months ago. Love it.

Thanks for your' post. I'm looking at it 5 yrs later. I think I'm up against a water pump replacement in my 2000 super duty. The IH conversion sounds great but I'm having trouble with the link posted. I don't know if it's my iPad or the link is old. Is it possible to renew? Thanks!

Jeff,
The thread is a little confusing but if its you that needs a new waterpump for a 2000 7.3 then several of us have had good luck with the Airtex AW-4114. Airtex was the supplier of the original Motorcraft pump (credit to RT).
I have installed two of them in my trucks and the quality was good although you should read reviews to make your decision. I would buy them again and they are $70 and come with the 90* elbow (grey in the photo).

Here's a thread that has info on the International Water Pump install.
Link
Unfortunately all the old links from UBBthreads version of TheDieselStop are dead. I'll check with the tech guys to see if some whiz can run a script that will fix them. Lots of good info that's getting inaccessible. :(
