Got it figured out. I can not use Browser only Chrome.

It is most likely Internet Explorer as that browser is not supported for much longer.

This is a result of compatibility issues with the IE browser. Microsoft is ending support for their Internet Explorer browser this year. If you use Chrome, Firefox, Opera, or Safari, it will work much better. And they are all free!

I am finding that the "Trending Posts" widget seems to be pulling and displaying REALLY old threads with no recent posts. That does not seem right. A thread whith the last post dated in 2005 is definately not "trending." JMHO

Hey there,

All older threads have a static date in our trending metadata. This means it treats the thread like it was inputted on the day we moved. From there, clicks, views, comments all feed the algorithm to keep the trending information current.

All of that is to say, that in time, these "Trending Posts" you're seeing will only become more and more accurate with site usage.

It is very helpful when another member needs some help or we want to help another member without having to ask them where they are located at.

We are still also waiting to get the old FAQ's back. If you can't get them back just tell us.

If you hover over the user's avatar it brings up a window that has location (if provided by the user in their profile).
But I agree, if it was visible all the time that would be much more convenient.

If you hover over the member's avatar (or click if you are using a mobile device) you can see the member's location still.

If you hover over the user's avatar it brings up a window that has location (if provided by the user in their profile).

Some communities ask their members to add it to their signature if it is important to them.

The problem with hovering over the user's avatar is that 90% of the users on here have no idea that you can do that.

It is a lot nicer when you can just see it and not have to go hunting or hover over something to find something as simple as a location.

We do our best to answer questions from users as we see them as well as post tutorials on how to better navigate the site. We do collect everyone's feedback and make changes based on collective feedback.

Agreed, that little red dot isn't even very red. Can you make it flash, which would at least draw attention to it. I've not noticed it since it must have been "lit up" on my profile thingy for at least 2 weeks.

You have 24 hours to edit a post but you can not delete that post if you have anything you need to be removed you can use the report function and one of the team members cans help you out.

No update on this at this time however we are working on tools for restore those and fix the redirects in early 2020

There are new push notifications that might help you get notice of alerts more effectively.

All the info premigration has been backed up however it is the tools to restore it in a proper format that we are working on.
