i thought just about all of them did, but after asking some sellers on ebay i havent seen one that does. i know every one on here is goning to say go for the dp but i want to be able to take it back out. any way what chip is going to leave a black cloud when i get on it? (i know its about the power gains but i got to have it blowin black smoke is i drop $400)

My Dp-Tuner squirts smoke like a hell spawned missile.

Jody can put tunes on and SCT X-2 programmer, if you want a box...

DI, TS Performance, and Twildman can cook you up some smokin tunes.

You should have got one when you where out testing it while the collector wasn't on the turbo good! It would have been pouring out, don't ask me how I know /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

It did coat the engine with a good thick coat of soot....

...and yes hoping to crack 300, I'm still only making about 25lbs of boost on extreme, should it be more?

Do you have the wastegate unplugged?

And with the banks housing you will see lower boost than before, because you have less restriction now.

Yeah with that ic foil delete id bet you crack the 300hp mark for sure. Its a shame that everyone doesnt know that its worth a good 15-20 hp if you do that simple little mod.

Do not have the WG unplugged, should I, what are pros cons?

I was only getting 22 max before, but had loose, oily, dirty IC boots.

I hear ya there, the hood removal should help too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

On a side note, I can hear the turbo whistle nicely from about 6-12 lbs now, never could before, don't know if it's the housing or foil delete.

I don't care if I don't crack 200 hp, I'm just glad the thing is back together and working smooth.

With the brv and the wastegate unplugged you should be able to hit around 30 or so I would think, maybe a little less.

never could get over 27 psi with the banks housing,wheel and big head actuator. even with the wastegate unplugged or the rod tightened down to where i could turn it ant more. just a thought.

so is this what i want? what tunes will be good for a stock straight pipe and a intake (intake in a couple of months, running drop in k&n now) can you even run the +140 w/ the stock exhaust? is the sct the best tuner besides the dp?

I'll try to get a clip of my black fog this weekend.

The DP Tuner 120-140 programs will pour it on /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

I wonder if I've cracked 300? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

right, but arent egt's an issue when running such a high tune?

With the van turbo, it stays under 1300 in the 120hp program, it'll go to 1400+ in 140 if I hold it down long enough.

The smoke is all in the lower rpms as the turbo is spooling up, the egt's aren't an issue until high up in the powerband at WOT.

The IC foil delete is probably what it is. My turbo howls around 5-10 now since i did that. i bet i got 75hp to the wheels (in 4wd, of course) easy just judging by the whistle /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Greg what tunes are you running from jody? Is the "extreme" tune you're referring to the 140hp? my 120 (race) doesn't smoke much compared to my old 150 from someone else... i'm also only seeing 25lbs boost vs. the old chip's 35; obviously the DP chip is way more efficient.
