Vehicle Auto part Car

I just replaced my 2011 F350 dually with a 2016 F350 dually. I started to install my fifth wheel hitch using the custom frame brackets from my 2011. I discovered there is an electrical module mounted on the inside of the passenger side frame rail. It is just above the the rear axle. It interferes with mounting the bracket. Does anyone know what this module is. Apparently it is not on the 2011 through 2015 models.

If you have a bar code scanner on your phone it might pull up part number and you might be able to google it.

That square patch on top almost looks like a QR, and most smart phones will read it with a free app.

That is your Particulate Matter Sensor or PM 11. It detects carbon particles in the filtered exhaust stream. The PM sensor was new for the 2015 model year production.
