OK, I am in the market for some new shocks. Don't need anything special but was wondering which of the 2 I should go for. I do a lot of HWY driving and pull a 26' trailer. During the hunting season, I am up in the Mountains. Otherwise, that's it. So, I am looking at Rancho RS5000 and RMX mono tubes from Les Schwab. The rancho's I can get for $38 each from offroadhotrod.com and the Les Schwab's are about $60 each. They will be having a sale soon, but which is better. I want a solid, but firm and smooth ride. I have an '02, CC long bed 4X4. Thanks, Steve /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Ok, does anybody have another kind of shock that they would recommend. If so, what kind and where to get them?

I bought Monroe Reflex from NAPA. Great shocks! What an improvement over stock!

I am running the Rancho RSX and they are great.

I ran Bilsteen on my RangeRover and they lasted for over 100000 miles and were still great when I sold it. They are expensive though.

I had a set of RS5000's, they are firm but far from smooth, they were some rough riding shocks. I'm looking at Explorer Pro Comp ES9000's, I have 2 cousins that have run them and they ride nice not choppy or harsh and they made a big handleing difference.

I just put on some Pro-Comp MX6 shocks a couple days ago. They are six way adjustable. I'm still trying to figure out where I want them set for daily driving. FWPW has a deal on them through the end of the month, 4 for $260.
