Ive had a DING sound in my front end since the day I bought the truck and I have just now found it. On both front springs at the base of each there is a washer or retainer thingy that is shaped somewhat like a bowl. Its directly under the nut on each side. Are they just not tight enough? I can slightly lift each one up.

I will try that, thanks! Its the same way on both sides. Do you just put the ratchet through an opening in the spring? Ive also got an ocasional pop when i come to a stop it would be great if this was also the culprit but somehow I doubt it.

a wrench can get it, or a socket and a long extension and put the ratchet at the top of the coil tower to crank on it. i think its 1 3/16" but cant rmember for shure, but it should be close to that within a 1/8"

the pop is most likely a rad arm bracket/bushing, trans crossmemebr, or i beam bracket loosening up, or it could be an engine crossmemebr to frame rivit moving.
