Change oil when it tells you to, change fuel filters every other oil change, drain water separator monthly as required in your manual. Follow your maintenance book that came with the truck.

I use PM 22 in summer time and PM 23 in winter. I buy by the gallon and pour it into small bottles to dump in at each fillup.

There are other brands but I stick with the Ford brand which is made by sta-bil.

For what i have been seeing on this forum, the fuel system on those truck are a bit problematic. Make sure to keep additive in the fuel, fuel filter change often and drain water. Not sure if it will really prevent problems but will not hurt

Stanadyne Performance Formula is also an excellent choice.

I like your method. The single shot bottles Ford sold were a good idea but makes the product more expensive I believe. This method probably saves you a few bucks, no?

For stealth tuning, I just found out about this:
2011 - 2015 Ford 6.7L Ag Diesel Solutions Truck Edition Performance Module 22200 - 5 Star Tuning
I use 5-Star's SCT based Daily Tow for much improved driving, but in case of a major failure, it can be detected by Ford. The product above doesn't write to the PCM so it should be undetectable once removed, but I have no idea as to its effectiveness.

As far as additives go, everyone who uses them has their favorites. Not only can you improve lubricity for longer fuel system life, but cetane boosters should help reduce soot and regens. I started with Opti-Lube Summer as the Opti-Lube XPD, Summer and Winter were top performers in the only study we know about from 2007. Right after getting a gallon jug of the Summer Plus, I found out about Archoil products and started adding AR6200 to my diesel fuel which improved my mileage between .5 and 1 mpg. I get the best results using the minimum dose of OL with the AR6200. At a minimum, I suggest Motorcraft PM-22A.

There have been a few suggestions that Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5w40 (NAPA) helps reduce regens, but I haven't tried it yet. After running Rotella T6 for 15,000 miles, the dealer mistakenly put Motorcraft 10W30 in and it seems to be working fine with the AR9100 oil additive. My regen frequency is the best yet at between 500-600 miles, mostly highway.

Don't change the factory oil or use any oil additives until 5000 miles to allow proper break in. Keep the RPMS up by locking out 6th gear for speeds below 50 or by using Tow/Haul mode. That keeps from lugging the engine at 800-900 rpm during break in.

Sounds just like the old Edge products where it was a box under the hood that tapped into the wires after the ECU and just modified the signal. The problem with these types of modules is that it doesn't program the transmission so you are running higher HP without adjusting the trans for the increase power.

And that can be detected by the PCM, too. In the old days it couldn't, but before I left Ford in 2007 we had developed software that could detect these types of power adders.

After reading the description, I figured it couldn't do the transmission and that would have ruled it out for me. And Mark's post makes it easy to forget about it.

I use the Stanadyne Blue and Red. With the 65 gal tank, one bottle is the right amount. The PM22 is ok but had to divide a bottle in half. Stanadyne is probably more costly in the long run.
