Hello,

I'm new to the forum. I have my eye on a 94 E350. I'm looking for information on what to check engine and transmission-wise. I searched the forum archives but couldn't quite find buyer's guide type information. Are there keywords I can use to help me find such guidance? What questions to ask the seller?

I should first ask someone to confirm that a 94 E350 has a normally asipirated 7.3 IDI? I took a quick peek under the hood and saw an air cleaner over the intake manifold. I figure a turbo engine would have the air cleaner somewhere else.

Dang, that's a long engine oil dipstick!

I have a bit of experience with Mercedes IDIs so I should be okay with the language.

What trans E40D code E or C6 code G on the door post sticker, get the axle code too.
