After a couple of dealers I just walked away it was a fight to talk about invoice.
Then I e-mailed an internet manager at the local Ford dealer.
He quoted me a price on a loaded Lariat, special internet price was 100 under invoice then rebate.
I countered with Rock Doctor's calculation approx 14% of msrp sticker to invoice is 8.5& then invoice to A plan is another 4.2% or so then deduct the rebate.
He pretty much couldn't believe it wrote back that that's cheaper than they get them from Ford etc, etc.
I told him thats basically A plan pricing but if he couldn't do it later.
Natural he wrote back wanted to know how I arrived at A plan pricing!
Rock Doctor had to be pretty close!

Be realistic. X is some 10-12 % below MSRP and A adds a few % more. So it would be roughly 15 % under MSRP. This is before rebates.

Nah, you're dreaming.

X-Plan is about 10 percent less than MSRP. For example, on a loaded 2009 F-250 King Ranch with MSRP of $59,695, X-Plan price is $53,818. X-Plan price is usually a bit less than invoice.

You can forget about trying to buy a new SuperDuty for "employee pricing" or A-Plan pricing unless Ford is having a fire sale and advertising employee pricing. That happens very rarely, and not for a 2009.

My dealer is a personal friend, and what you have said is the same as he tells me.

I'm reading what you wrote SmokenWren, what would you pay right now for a 2009 F250 Lariat/Crew Cab/4wd/Diesel, brand new but right now?

I hope folks realize this is a very old thread that you've dug up from the dead. :wink2:

I'm not in the market, so I wouldn't pay much for it. It's been sitting there gathering dust for about a year, so Ford would have to offer a bigger than normal rebate to interest me in a leftover model from two model years ago. It must have a wierd combo of equipment to not have sold already. Instead, I'd look for a 2010 and then pay not more than X-Plan minus normal rebates and incentives.
