i am looking at the SCT Livewire (or Edge) and getting tunes from either Elite or DP. i also need to get trans temp guage and a EGT sensor. i tow 7-8K lbs all the time and run 100% biodiesel. I notice I am down on power with the Bio and just want a little more pep, nothing insane. Few questions:

1. With the sct livewire (or Edge) will it display coolent temp and EGT temp from the PCM, or do i need to get the guages?

2. Is it ok to run b100 with the tow tunes from dp or elite?

what would you do?

Running B99 right now with Both Elite and DP tunes... No issues... You can get EGT from the live wire, but I dont know about the coolant temp.

With the live wire you have to get the probe, so be sure to order that too.

You need the sensor to get the temps from. I have the SCT XCalibrator 2 programmer with Jody's tunes on it and love it. Just one thing to think about with these all n one devices (gauges, tunes, 0-60, 1/4 ET's etc...) what happens when the boost part of it stops working? You are now without tunes, gauges everything!!! It is a man made device things go wrong. With seperate gauges you simply replace the unit that breaks, no down time. Just something you may not of thought of. I also find the info harder to read as there is a lot of info on the screen rather than a quick glance at a analog gauge, but maybe I'm just getting old, lol!! Just thought I would pass it on, enjoy Jody's tunes, there awesome!!!

good point! i think i will get a chip and use the dp tuner software. i will also get a pyro and trans temp gauges to keep everythng in check.
