I went with the MK19's in a 20x11. 11 inches is the absolute minimum for the Toyos. They are quite wide for a 15.5 tire. In comparison to a swamper STS they are at least 1.5" wider if not more and about 1/2 an inch shorter. You can mount them on a 10" rim, but I wouldn't recomend it nor does Toyo.

Good point, I was just so confused about looking at wheel choices I figured you guys could read my mind /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I am looking at probably going with the 18s, and I want something that not only looks good but performs. I dont jump the truck or stuff like that, but it does get hunted. I also pull my boat, so it needs to be a heavy rated wheel. I prefer a more spoked look, and I dont mind paying for quality.

my buddy only had them on his 9.5" *18 boyds for 2 weeks and he could not stand how squirelly the truck drove. I got him a set of weld 18*12 from Marty at truck toyz andhe is a happy as a clam

Well then I would recommend the Weld Racing Cheyenne 8's

Hub centric and one piece forged

I also very highly recommend Truck-Toyz 888-776-8699

I have 38-15.5x18 Toyo MT's on WELD 18x12" Sandstorm Pro-loc series and love them. Out of the four tires and rims, only ONE of them needed 4 oz. of weight. Yes you read that right. When I went to pick up the tires I asked the manager why they had not balanced the tires and he said they had and that they only need to put weight on one tire. I thought "yeah right". I put them on the truck and it rides smoother than any other large tire I have owned.

My 2 cents.

usually you wanna put a couple hundred miles on big tires before you have them balanced. i never even balance my tires that are 37" or bigger, a lot of times they dont need it. you may find that after 1000 miles or so, the tires will need to go back and have weights put on...

Does anybody have any pictures of 38x15.50x18 Toyos on a 18x12 wheel? I'm just about ready to buy a set of Weld Cheyenne 8's, and was going to get 18x10. I'd like to see those tires on an 18x12 before I pull the trigger. Thanks!

I drove my buddies truck with both size wheels and I would say it would be a huge mistake to try and run them on 10" wheels. in order to put enough air in the tires for good handling you wind up with a tire that does not make a good contact patch on the road /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bleh.gif

Exactly! They'll fit on 10", hell they'll fit on an 8", but the outcome will be as described above.

I run the 38's on both 10" & 12" wide wheels with no issues w/ either. I will normally go with a 12" wide with the 38's when we are going 10.5" or 12.5" of lift & I tend to stick with a 10" wide on the 8" DR.

FYIW I run a 20x10 wheel w/ the new Toyo 40" w/ no issues.
