Perhaps you should leave your maintenance to the dealer if you do not know that automotive supply companies make large oil catch containers that go up to and over 15 quarts.

What do you use when changing your oil, 15QT’s is a lot of oil. What do you use to capture the oil in?
I bought a 15 quart bucket to catch the oil. You may not be able to find these at your local parts store because you are indeed right: 15 quarts is a lot! I found that the places I went to mostly only carried smaller buckets; so I ordered one online.

Buy yourself a Fumoto valve too (just to make things easier).

It was a few years ago, but I found a 4-gallon oil-drain pan at Wal-Mart.

And I have looked at the ones on line but, I don't care for the design thats why I asked the question

Someone sent me this link .... this what I was looking for

Blitz USA: Item # 42008 Crude Oil 58 Quart Oil Drain

This the normal one and was not what I was looking for

Blitz USA: Item # 11838 15 Quart Oil Drain

Thanks Everyone
This is the one I have:
Blitz 5 GALLON DRAIN PAN

It's a better idea to have one of those, in addition to a container large enough for you to transport it for disposal. The one you picked out doesn't "catch" the oil easily unless you run a tube from your oil pan to the container (for collection). The one I linked to is just like a bucket! :)

All I need is a 7 qt bucket for my V-10, but I just go to a Ford dealer and make them match any $15.95 oil and filter change. Most do.

Pappy, how is this possible? We're talking 15 quarts of 15W40. 5 quarts of Motorcraft 15W40 sells for $11 and some change at Walmart; add the cost of the filter at roughly $19. $52 of materials + 15 to 20 minutes of labor. $16 doesn't even come close. Just saying. :nono:

It's quite clearly cheaper to do it on your own. All you need is a bucket like we've already listed.

Oh, no.....you didn't go there....did you? :nono:

I am quite pleased with my V10....ain't gonna start no war here though. To each his own. I had a 2000 7.3 PSD and a 2005 6.0 PSD. Both were good trucks too. For some of us the V10 just makes more sense right now.

Back to the OP's question....get a fumoto valve and drain the oil into whatever you want to put it in. You can fill up 20 oz. soda bottles if you wish.

I like the concept of the Fumoto Valve but, I have a 4x2 and it sits much lower than a 4x4. I was looking at the drain plug today and the Fumoto Valve would portude out too far. The drain plug sits nice and flush for me
