Wasn't there a kit on here somewhere that somebody sold to replace the factory blue boots and clamps with something better. Even cleaning them real good, the clamp slips when I tighten it. Time for something better. Thanks, Daryl

If you want a quick fix, try hair spray. Just clean the boot and tube with brake cleaner, wipe clean, spray with hair spray and clamp togehter. Mine were blowing off, even with new boots. Applied the hair spray and three years, 60K miles later, they are still connected. I also did the CCV mod to elimate the oil vapor from the tube and boots.

Re: Where do I get better intercooler boots? Mine blew off on me and I don't want it to happen again

While the better ones may help, there are MANY on here running stock ones, with the CcV mod,, (Oil not in there anymore) And cleaning things good, reinstall and no more pop off. (Unless maybe your running 50+ Lbs of boost) But for us average 25-30 pounders, the stock ones are fine..JMHO /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif
