I have a 2016 F350. When you have the heat on you can feel the air pulling in from the hood cowl area. As soon as I turn the AC on I do not feel it anymore coming from there. Im not sure if its stuck on recirculate when the AC comes on. Any buddy confirm where the AC air is pulled in from? thanks

The outside air inlet is on the right side under the cowl underneath the PCM. If you unbolt the PCM and slide it out you will see the inlet. The inside air inlet used when the system is set to recirculate the cabin air is in the same area but on the other side of the firewall.

There is no cabin air filter on Super Duty trucks up to at least model year 2016. I don't recall as to whether or not there is a screen over the opening which would catch larger debris and some dirt- I want to say there is but I am not sure... been a while since I have been there but I am pretty sure there is.
