im in the market to buy all 8 new injectors and i can't seem to find a good price the lowest i can seem to find is 1600..the truck was built in 4/98, and what is this deal with the number 8 injector..its longer than the rest? so i have to purchase that one seperate from the others..im just lost and i don't wanna spend all this money and end up with the wrong part...any suggestions are very appreciated thanks..

1600 is a fair price for new injectors. You might be able to find them as cheap as 1500 but that would be about it. Your truck will have AB code injectors and no long lead on number 8. You can put the AD injectors in all 8 OR put 7 ADs in and the AE in in the number 8 if you want. If you have a chip or plan to get one I would get the AC single shots. The will require some tuning to go from a split shot to a single shot (it will run with out tuning) but the injectors are the same price and you can get better mileage with the single shot, and the AC is capable of more power. If you went with the AC you would use all 8 ACs. A good quality rebuild is about as much as a new injector so I would go new but if you must save money you can get "budget" rebuilds, or rebuild your own. Check out Rose wood diesel, swamps, beans etc... for pricing. Where did you get the 1600 price for the new injectors?

just did my injectors alberta canada prices from240 to 410 each. found rosewood diesel ohio. good fast service good rebuild for only $500 plus 100 shipping. my f--- dealer wanted $3000 to replace 3 injectors with v c already off. came home looked in mirror did not have stupid on my forehead. that was 8 inj. done at rosewood

I bought injectors from industrial Injection out in Salt lake city but they are around the same at $1600. I wasn't too impressed with their technical service department either those guys started dodging my calls after I couldn't figure out why my truck wasn't running. I figured it out on my own no thanks to those dicks. The injectors worked out alright though.
