Why is thedieselstop.com so slow. It sometimes takes minutes for a page to upload. I have never been to a slower site. Please don't tell me its becuase I am not a premium member.

I wrote to the IT department earlier this morning. They are in the process of fixing it.

The slowness of this site has been going on now for over 6 months. You either need to live with it or go to another site. It's too bad since this used to be the premium site to go to for Ford diesels and now it is near the bottom

It's only slow for me when I don't log in. Soon as I log in it speeds right up. I also use CC Cleaner regularly to clear out all the cookies and junk that slows everything down.

It is very discouraging to view, use, and participate in discussions.

Perhaps, as mentioned above: time to look for a new site?

Two months later and all the slow ads from places like doubleclick are continuing to slow down page loads here -- it seems like it's getting worse instead of better. Looking at the "less ads" in the little ad box for the site, perhaps they're trying to convert more folks to paid membership here. Doesn't work for me.

This site has been slow for years. I joined many years ago and it was fast. Ever since all of the advertising and crap, it has been really slow.

I would come here more often if it was back up to speed. You honestly can't just come in and scan the site. It just takes too long...

It's designed to be slow at loading (not minutes but several seconds) in order to force you to look at the ads in the banner.

Notice the how the complex ad appears right away and stays while the information in the forum you want to look at has delayed loading.

If you have older versions of windows or a slower internet connection, the site may never load properly.

It used to kill me coming here as it was soooooo slow but I upgraded to IE9..now its as fast as any other site.
