Will they fit? if you're a math geek follow along, if you've already run that set up, skip the novel and post up
If i'm doing my math correctly, currently I have 18x8 factory 05 superduty wheels with 2" wheel spacers and 11" wide tire. I have no rubbing issues on my leaf springs with that set up, but don't know how close the tire is either to the leaf at full lock. I found a great deal on some 20x9 wheels with 4-1/2" backspacing -12mm offset. So Assuming the factory 18" wheels are 6" backspacing, plus the 2" spacers, that really makes them an 18x8 with 4" backspacing, meaning i've got the edge of the wheel 4" from the mounting surface and 5" for the outside of the wheel to the mounting surface (figured 8" wheel is really 9" outside of bead to outside of bead and 9" wheel is really 10" outside of bead to outside of bead)
The 20x9's with 4-1/2" of backspacing mean i've got 5-1/2" from the mounting surface, and 4-1/2" to the inner wheel. Because i'm adding a tire that's 2" wider, iv'e got another 1" added added to that calculation, meaning I would need an extra 1" from my current measurment at full lock to make them fit correct? I'm not worried about the body or bumper, i can trim those back, I like the leveling kit and want to keep it at this height. In simple terms will they rub on the leafs or not :read:
