Simple as that, will a 16 inch rim fit on a 2006 ride? Im not concerned if the truck has a lift or anything, but if the bolt pattern and room are compatible. I didnt know if the brakes were bigger or the pattern has changed.
Thanks,
Robert

No. Brakes are bigger. And because of the offset difference, you wouldn't like the looks if you could squeeze them on over the calipers.

Thank you for the reply. Now they sit about 2 inches out of the fenders, but i like that look. Do you mind explaining the difference in the offset of the 2002 they are on vs the offset of an '06? I believe you, im just curious now.

Thanks

The backspacing difference between pre-'05 and '05-up is over 1", the '05-up having more backspacing. If they sit about 2" out of the fenders on a '02, then the same wheels on a '06 would sit 3-4" out of the fenders.

'02 = 0.25" offset.

'06 = 1.57" inset.

One guy explained that inset and offset are the same thing, so if that's true then the difference is 1.32".

That's assuming stock wheels. For custom wheels, all bets are off. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif
