Yes, but...
International changed the plating on the pins of the CPS and the connector in mid-96 (or 97, I can't remember which right now /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif), and the conventional wisdom is not to mix the type of plating. That may cause corrosion from dissimilar metals being in contact. Functionally, it will work, but for how long????

I think it would be suitable as a spare for short term use.

The correct CPS can now be had for aobut $20.

Thanks a lot. Yes I found out about the new price on those things just a few minutes ago after doing a search. Now I know why I had such a hard time trying to sell it on ebay. It sounded so much better to say I was giving him a $150 part for free rather than a $20 part for free. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

Yeah, but you're still a good guy for doing that. He'll appreciate it if (when) it saves him from being stranded or on the hook. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah he didn't know about that little dirty devil, aka CPS. I'm turning him on to this site too. Thanks for the help, again.
