Earlier this spring I stuck a mic under the hood and threw my laptop in the truck and did some recording before and after. Before the ATS the sound was horrible, it would give ya the willies /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/depressed.gif After I installed the ATS housing I could still hear the same noise, just much much quieter. I would guess a 80-90% reduction. Enough that I no longer worry about it.

did you just do the housing and not the wheel. i did both becaues did not want to do it agine. and i agree with 80-90% reduction i would not worry at all.

I did the housing first go around, then later added the WW. In my experience both are not necessary, unless you just really like the noise. If you wanna hear the turbo sing do both you'll love it!!! I lost a small amount of boost once the WW was installed, and my truck smokes a lot more with WW than with just the housing. Not sure why, but it sure puts out a lot more smoke now.
In my experience the ATS housing eliminated enough of the Surge to make it a "non issue" in my pickup. I cant speak from experience as to what just the WW will do, plenty of other guys on here that can answer that.
