First let me say I'm sorry for starting another tire thread; but I couldn't find any good info by doing a search.

Q: I am getting new tires soon and I was wondering if a 265/75-16 will have any trouble on my truck?? I am running the stock 16x7 size wheel on my 1997 PSD 2wd

No it fit good under my old 95 psd but any bigger the front will rub
Ok thanks. I wanted a bigger tire for my truck but I wasn't for sure they would fit without rubbing.

I run that size on my '97 F350. I removed a set of those tires a bit early from my '02 and use them now on my '97. They do not effect my speedometer either. They are very close to the same diameter/circumference as the original 235-85-R16's that the came with the '97.

you can run up to a 315 on the stock rims, I did for many years on three trucks adn 5 sets of them. For stock height 285/75 or 255/85 is about teh limit, both look great.
