if you remove the track arm bracket on the axle? are the tie rod ends the same? can someone measure an 05 center to center for me?

They are incompatible.

The 05+ have a wider track than the 99-04 models. The way the knuckle is set up, is that on the passenger side, a single bolt secures both the tie rod and the drag link on opposite sides of the knuckle in single shear.

Also, the drag link will be too long for your application, and probably won't clear the leaf springs without the slight bend.

thanks it looks like I have to have one made as with the cross over steering and ram assist I can use a straight bar and maybe a better type of joints at the ends

Excursions in 05 are the same as earlier Excursions. Trucks in 05 have coil frt springs-not leaf. Need to know this when u ask. I didn't go to an X for 05 as nothing changed but the front fascia.
probably was a mistake as my 05 ain't the best.

I am waiting on the 08 and will probarly go back to a 350 single wheel crew with a shorty

Thats What I got. The only things that are an improvements, in my opinion, are a shorter turning radius and what seems to be better brakes.
Too many other issues with this unit.For one thing, /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gifthey didn't put any drain holes in the floor to let the water out when the moon roof leaks. Must have been part of the "decontenting"!!!!

they are there, right under the carpet you just have to remove the rubber seal and you might see something down there that looks like a body mount bolt, but if you look closely you can see where the water can run right out
