Whats the news on Wix's Powertrap filtration system for the 6.0? Part#24490

For those who don't know; the Wix PowerTrap is a new airbox made by Visteon (Motorcraft) and made available only to Wix that takes the 6.0 air filter and replaces it with a simple airbox and a standard flat filter. This makes changeouts easier. Photos will be on our website soon.

I just sent an e-mail to my contact at Wix, and the PowerTrap is now available. The Wix part number is 24490 and that includes the airbox and the filter.

It just came available last week, so I'll order a few and try one out. The replacement filter #49490 is not available yet, but will be at end of month.

Looks like the airbox will cost about $145, but pricing hasn't been finalized by Wix yet.

Aren't flat filters prone to sealing problems? Or is that just the factory 7.3's?
