rsr youve outdone yourself again here this is a great write up that i hope gets made into a sticky.

the only thing i would like to add to this is that i am running W85 exclusively in my truck (2000 7.3 psd with 226k) for the last 7k+ miles with out a problem and my truck would even start down to 0 degree with out adding any extra D2

and for the record im am running a system based off of rsr's design

Great info! A couple of months ago I mentioned the use of WMO on powerstroke.org and got bombarded with naysayers. Whitejon introduced me to this site and I have been on the alt fuels section almost everyday reading ever since! I've learned alot from you guys! Thanks again 5 star rating all the way!
welcome aboard lots to learn for sure and not many naysayers here when there are trucking running the blends to back it up:thumbsup:

Could you provide more info on this apparatus you are referring to?
just go to harbor freight and buy a cheap viscosity cup that is intended for using to test viscosity on auto paint. thats what i use and its simple all you need is that and a stop watch

i like the 35 gal drums for collection bc i can pick them up and set them on the back of my pickup incase the rollback isnt available. but im having trouble finding the 35 gal drums around here

35 gal Steel drums with removable lids and no bungs are $17 at the fruit stand down the street. Apparently the owner is good friends with the owner of a drum refurb place. Ill slap a UPS label on one and send it if you want one.

How many GPM did you get out of the SBC pump, Simone?
thanks ill let you kno if i want any. supposedly my oil salesman is gonna get me a few so ill see if he comes through first or if hes just lieing to keep me happy like most salesman

Have any of you tried using kerosene to thin your WMO? I get mine pretty thin with it. I filter down to 1 micron and use a centrifuge. When (Not if) I get some with water in it, I use a water heater element in my mixing barrel to heat up the mix. It dries the water out well.
i like using rug and D2 bc they have road tax and less legalities if you get dipped but othwerwise kerosene would work great as a thinning agent

yeah i love the look on peoples faces when i say im running my diesel on RUG lol and theres no law saying you cant but it is illegal to run non taxed fuel
