well after owning my truck for 4 yrs i finally scraped up the funds to get a DP Tuner chip. the last thing i needed, woooo hoooooo. got no start, stock, 80 tow, 80 econ, and 120, i think thats pretty much what everybody gets, hey it works for me. jody and i played phone tag for 2 days. i finally got a hold of his wife diane, wow she is awesome, helped me with everything, said it will be shipped out monday, now that is fast service. heres the awesome part.......got a military discount that saved me 63 bucks, i dang near fell outta the chair. she recommended i get the tru speed also so i guess i need to put in an order for that. now i cant wait till next week and to have more fun driving my truck. AWESOME SERVICE BY DP TUNER.

Get ready for a PERMISMILE. It is fun. Dont blow a lot of smoke on base though I know they dont like that out here in 29 palms.

[/ QUOTE ]Haha when I first read a post like this, saying that I wouldn't be able to stop smiling, I thought oh ya it will be cool. What I didn't realize was that for the first 30 mins I literally could not stop smiling, not a bit, my cheeks really did get sore haha.

Start saving for a new torque converter too.. Love my DP-Tuner but I'm sad to say if your tranny is bone stock, your TC will most likely end up ghosting the lock up clutch like mine. I'm still running on it but I have to "manually" shift this automatic.. As in, get off the pedal, let it shift, then get back in it.. LOL! Otherwise, when the TC goes to lock up, it'll slliiiiippp like crazy! Enjoy your new found power and be sure to find a couple ricers with a 8" tip dragging out the back to out run.. It's fun!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif

Be careful, I put a programmer in my 97', it was all fun until the tranny went out next day /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

It was bad enough paying for the exhaust, programmer, and gauges; but the tranny was an expense I wasn't planning on, lol....

It sure would roast the tires though /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I must of had the magic transmission. I ran a stock transmission for 10,000 miles with big injectors and it never blew up, granted when it was torn apart all the clutches were melted /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/phoney.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

what that foot though fuel gets expencive after the first few tanks
oh yeah like DHDiesel 73 was saying find the ricer that has the 18in wing and 8in tip and fill him up with diesel fumes
I bet he wont try and pull back up to you either

I left the base in miami with some LT that had a little souped up honda needless to say he drove by me when i turned and waved
Next time he saw me he said that i mad him look bad infront of his boss that was running in the mustang behind us
which he said gave him he for about 3 weeks from getting stomped by a truck
