Ok, so about a week ago, I replaced a buncha stuff on the 2000 7.3...
One of them was the fuel filter and cap... Because the old one was, well, old, and it also had a leak, from the cap...

Anyways, all is good until today (didnt notice it until today anyways...)

I park the truck, go into a shop for maybe 15 minutes, come back out, and see a good frisbee sized puddle under the truck... I get down, and see liquid on my axle and a few other things too... Stick my finger in it, and its fuel...

So i pop the hood, start the truck, and look at the fuel filter cap... I dont see a leak coming from the cap... But where that entire assembly is, about 1 ft. down, to the rear of it, there looks to be a puddle of fuel, sitting in a crevice or something on the engine... its hard to see down in there...

So, before I go spend $200 to have someone tell me whats wrong with the truck, anyone have any ideas as to what might be leaking??

And yes, i put the filter and seals all in correctly, and yes, i oiled them before i put them in, and yes, the cap is on very tight...

thanks guys

I second the fuel drain valve "O" rings probably...use a mirror and look to see if it's wet at the valve? OR if it is wet down at the drain tube only. Maybe just not shutting off completely,,,try to open it and close it again? Just a WAG possiblity!
Otherwise replace the seals.
