X in for Work

Got my 2003 X in for it's mechanical face lift at the moment

1st is an OEM Pan replacement I bought a new OEM Pan and had it sand blasted and preped with a nickel type coating and then powder coated for more years of use that I will see from this truck

The motor is out of the truck for this work

at the same time I am replacing the original oem fuel lines all fuel filters
and all new fluids front to back..

also replacing the torq converter with a suncoast triple clutch converter
I already had a billet pan installed.

the turbo is being removed and inspected and cleaned not sure what will be found, but being done due to some o ring leakage where it mount

also putting in an egt sensor for the new SCT Extreem Touch Screen tuner

also adding a SS Turbo Back MBRP 4" Exhaust and Banks Cold Air Kit

additionally replacing all the brake pads going Hawks to Napa's for now to see if I like them better.

Bought a newly built drive shaft from Carolina Drive Line with spicer joints to take care of my drive line vibration that has been Identified as the slip yoke on the OEM shaft with tooo much play.. actually a great price from them
shipped to my door..

then it's in for an external Face Lift with new hood and body work touch up and paint

I am shying away from aftermarket rims but was thinking of taking my OEM rims and having them prep'd and powder coated black and the re-rubbered with the same Cooper 275 ATR's.

I really like these Cooper Tires.. so I will be sticking with them.. I found that the 275 mounted on my OEM Rims that my Speedo and GPS are pretty much identical as far as MPH goes hi-way cruizing goes..

it was either a mechanical / body face lift or a New Truck with a 6.7 with a BIG Note.. I like my decision at the moment!!

Think I am going to also add a firestone air bag kit for load leveling
and my X should be good for a few years to come.. Maybe a new sound system and some refresh work on the front seats as well.. they cuold use it!!

just got word that the water pump should be replaced looking like some movement and play in the bearings and it should be replaced..

Do it while the motor is out I say!! Geterdone!

Motor going back in this weekend going to take a ride up an take a look
at things an take some pix
Nice, that's a lot of work! Def. post up some pics once you get her back.
Was at the shop last week motor hanging on the lift pan looks sweeet, all the parts are ready, hopin the motor went back in this past weekend and the assembly and putting things back together.. hoping next weekend to have it back.. then off to bodywork and paint.. but will post pix once done.
Got the X back from it's mechanical work.
NH Diesel n Speed performed all the work
I listed in the opening post below.

have it back and been driving it and all appears good
at the moment.

I did have one mis-hap on the way home and that
was a freaking rock or something put a 50 cent piece sized
spider crack in my windshield, safe lite came out and did there
thing and I still see the crack but safe lite ensures me it's safe

it just sucks cause I can see the crack still :-(

so far my only issue is the SCT Touch screen Extreem tuner
that was expected to work off the 2003 OBB Port
its apparent that I can not get boost readings from this and
it may need an analog sensor plumbed in, same with the trans temp

I think coolant temp is correct defintley RPM Air Intake Temp
and EGT are OK (however EGT Being read from the SCT EGT
Sensor / Not thru the ODB)

EGT's RPM and AIT are are reading normal and to my liking.

I am working to verify Engine Coolant Temp and I'll be able to verify
on my next start up.. but ECT looks to be 130ish degrees,
so I the jury is still out on the SCT TSE.. For me anyway.

The Truck sounds Nice with the MBRP 4" Turbo Back with a Banks CIA
feeding it, the trans has god positive firm shifts with all new fluids and the
drive train vibrations are gone that was fixed by the Carolina Drive Line Drive Shaft and it's a HEFTY Unit and well worth the price of admission 280$

So far the brakes feel good I want to drive the truck with the trailer loaded
to see if i like the new pads or not.

Now getting ready for Body work and Paint with new rubber shortly after.

Thanx RT..

So It sounds like would need analog devices to monitor
Trans and Coolant temps.

but Oil temp from the HPOP << I'm Not sure WTH a HPOP Res is??

and would that be the temps it's reading then 130is for Oil temps
thru the ODB?
