to impress the shotgun rider. This thing has kaboom at 48000 miles. Can an auto shift fasrter than a manual ? or only when I miss a gear ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif
I'm always impressed with this thing from 0-60.For such a big truck it seems pretty fast stock. With duals and limited slip it rarely breaks loose and I am curious how the single rear wheeled trucks fair when floored from start.
WELL I HAVE 04 6.0L 6speed if i keep stock it wont break loose unless i dump the clutch.BUT IF THE BIG Q COMES ON 1&2&3 NEVER MOVES OUT OF TRACKS!!!!DOES GOOOOOOOD LOVE MY PSD
squeals the tires, both of them /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif
My 6spd is a dog but I still love it. Auto will smoke it every time. Thats not saying much though, a VW bug would smoke this thing.
The acetoned badges gave me about 5 horses and I got about 10 horses out of the strategicaly placed bumper sticker. But those mods just were not enough, I think I may need an SCT by Biava.
0 to 60 is a LOT faster with a power brake to about 2k rpms /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
but that's only in 4x4 ... on a 4x2 (or a 4x4 in 2 wheel drive) all you'll do is spin the tires until you let off /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
(Heck, at a stop, it will break the rear tires loose even WITH the brake stomped on !!!! )
mine is an 05 and it will not spin the tires at all, if you go to do a burn out, its a pain to get the tires burning, the only real time i get em spining is going around a courner, and every car/truck can do that

There are ways to make the 6 speed scream! Trust me! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smokin.gif
I haven't tried 0-60 yet. I do know that I can get two, four to five foot long "scratches" out of 1st and 2nd gear from a dead stop on dry pavement. My '06 is completly stock except for appearance mods.
