Problem when climbing hills the water temp gauge pegs to hot and panel says reduce engine power and starts blowing coolant. When you pull over and shut it off it resets goes back to normal and then does it again without blowing coolant. What is the problem?

I'm not sure if it's the problem or not, but change out the cap to your coolant reservoir. If the cap is holding less than the recommended 16psi, the coolant will boil at a lower temperature. FYI, the caps are prone to failure. Cost for a stant brand cap is about $5-6.
