Did you guys see that? That is really cool. That had to cost a penny, I mean, with just the engine, (no lift, tires etc...) he had to have close to 30 k in it right? You guys have any guesses as to what that would cost? Pretty insane I thought.

Thirty grand in just the engine? I doubt it. I wouldn't swear my life on it, but I've never heard of anyone spending that much on a 5.9 to get that kind of power. Some of the tractor pull guys get more than that, and they don't spend that much (to my knowledge).

Could be 30K to make it hold together.

Might be fast, but will it last........................

I've seen video somewhere of Maddogs' truck. Slicks on all 4 corners and he looses traction, and breaks driveline parts. Keith

ask about Maddog in the SD forum or the OBS forum and you will get more links to pics and video then you will ever know.

I have heard there is ALOT into that engine. 400HP on a 5.9 is cheap, 1,100 is NOT CHEAP.

I actually saw this truck being towed through Oregon on a way to a race. Just in passing this truck is awesome, it looks insane up close. This was on April 14th. If you look at the links on the page watch the race videos and you will see this thing flat halls #@$!!!

That confirms my disdain for this type of truck already. If you can't drive the thing to the track and drag it then what good is it?

4x4s jacked up sky high with nice paint jobs, but do they ever see the mud or trail? HAH! You must be joking! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/vomit.gif

It is street licensed. In the mag they said he tows it so his family can come also, and still have a fairly nice bed without finding a hotel. IIRC, it's his daily driver at home.

You can't run a filter on somthing ingesting that much air. Let me re-phrase that, the only way you could is if it was sitting in the bed and took up a big portion of it. Remove it to race/pull, reinstall it to drive home. When your getting 1000 hp out of an engine designed to be below 300, a little dust is the least of your worries. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif
