New to the forum and have a quick question, at idle my truck seems to blow the smallest amount of what seems to be white smoke. This is almost impossible to see during the day but if you shine a light near the exhaust at night you can see a small amount of smoke coming out. Info about my truck- it has a dpf delete with a sct tuner, engine is very new and I know I have blown head gaskets. Is this something to worry about. Next weekend the truck is going in to get arp head studs and new gaskets just wanted to know if anyone else has noticed this or had something similar happen to them, thanks

I have a 2010 6.4 with 200k on it... at 150k I had to pull the cab and put a high pressure fuel pump in. At the same time I put a Spartan nDash on it, DPF delete with straight pipes, programmed the 275 tune that is so often recommended (and get much better gas mileage as a result) and it's been roses since then until the last week. Just started smoking pretty good at idle (whitish smoke) and black smoke when I get on the gas. Very noticeable whether I'm at a red light or driving down the road. No codes that I'm aware of, haven't noticed any loss of power, etc.

Took it in to local tech, and he came back with a $6700 estimate for two injectors and an EGR delete just in case.

Questions:

1. Anyone agree or disagree at first glance with the assessment (injectors)?

2. Estimate sounds high to me. I can get a full set of injectors for a couple grand and the tech guides I've seen show this can be done in reasonable time in terms of labor.

3. What else am I missing? Anything obvious?
