Code P0232 fuel pump relay dvr circuit fail off

Like Kanman said, that buzzing sound was probably the fuel pump relay, located under the instrument panel.

If voltage is low, relays will tend to buzz, and if it wasn't pulling in to power the fuel pump, then the PCM would notice that there wasn't power and set that code.

You might check your battery cable connections. If they aren't tight, they'll be high resistance for the first few draws. I was working on my truck installing a light switch over the weekend and got the relay buzz when I just set the ground clamp on one battery (didn't tighten it) to check things out. Just lasted a short time, then was fine for the low amp draw.

On edit: It was probably the fuel pump relay sticking on momentarily.

From the service manual:

DTC P0232 indicates power was present on the fuel pump monitor circuit when the fuel pump was commanded off.
Possible causes:
-- shorted fuel pump relay
-- short to power in fuel pump circuitry
