GlowPlug terminals?

Was scoping out under the hood yesterday and noticed that one (maybe more, but didn't look too closely) of the bullet terminals connecting to a GP had "vaporized"... simply turned to white powder.

Are these available outside of purchasing a full $$$ GP harness?

Try some heat shrink tubing over the connectors.

Exactly agnem... the metal portion of the connector (& a small portion of the wire) have disentegrated. Are they simply female bullet connectors? Any specific size? Guessing that also lends itself to the GP being toasted also?

Also, I like the idea of the heatshrink over it, once I solder on the connector & additional wire...

I need the same treatment done to mine...I thought about bullet connectors but I bet they're a different size. You know how car companies are- they're not gonna let you get away with not buying their replacement products without a fight. I bet they're metric or somethin dumb. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shrug.gif

The blue bullet connectors from NAPA will work, maybe not as well as the original ones from IH but they will work well enough so that everything can run normally.

I used the blue bullet connectors, crimp on ones. When I converted my truck to solid state glow plug controller which requires the bullet style glow plug. The blue ones are for a lot smaller wire, so I pulled off the blue insulation and pried apart the connector crimp end so I could get the bigger GP harness wire in it for a good crimp, before crimping I slid a short chunk of heat shrink up the wire and used it after I crimped the end on.
