Anybody take the headliner out? I want to see where the airbags are so not to drill through them. I intend to permanently mount tracks for a roof rack.
I am afraid to touch anything around the mounting location for the side airbags.

I had mine out last week to install an over head DVD system. Actually pretty simple to R&R. Just remove all of the pillar trim pieces, visors, and overhead console. The trim pretty much just pops off, the grab handles are bolted on and the seat belt loops need to be unbolted. The over head console pulls down and kind of forward. I do not have sun roof.

As far as the air bags they are pretty much within that bulged area around the top of the door frame/pillars

I had thought about the Dynamat while I had my headliner out, but did not have any and need to get it back together to go on road trip. The roofs are pretty thin (like the rest or the body) but the head liner itself is like ~1/2" foam and really seams to deaden the sound pretty good. One thing too, the center of the headliner is stuck to the roof by a couple of pretty strong magnets that are embedded in the the foam. So you would have to not cover that area with the Dynamat.
